We are so excited about our move and know that you will be too. Please know that although we are moving, the same friendly faces will still be running the club and the same high quality instruction will be maintained. We will also gladly honor all gift certificates issued from our old location and continue to offer safe, professional and fun jumping experiences for both student and fun jumpers alike. Our History
Established in 1971 by Larry Sargeant, as the Malone Parachute Center. In 1977, the business’ debt was taken over by a group of its skydivers. These "members" started volunteering their time and running the operation as a not-for-profit club, and changed its name to the Malone Parachute Club. After the parachute operation was taken over by the newly formed Malone Parachute Club it blossomed into a first-class club/training facility.
In the spring of 2003 after 31 years in Malone the club moved its operation to the Clinton County Airport in Plattsburgh, NY. Wanting to keep the long history and tradition associated with the club, the members chose to name their new DZ, The Malone Parachute Club at Plattsburgh.
Among its alumni are numerous world-class and champion skydivers. It's leadership continues to be among the country's most experienced and competent.
Malone Parachute Club Today
The Malone Parachute Club continues to run as a not-for-profit, through the dedication of its volunteers. We are open most weekends from the beginning of April through the end of October. Our operation includes services to first-time students and experienced jumpers. Our club is a member of the United States Parachute Association, and we operate using its basic safety requirements, ensuring a safe skydiving experience for all. We are a family-oriented dropzone, and pride ourselves on a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. All are welcome!
